Introduction of Processing Industry in Welding Neck Flanges

The weld neck flange is a kind of flanged pipe fittings, which is widely used and popularized in different fields and industries with its different application range. When we operate WN flanges, how do we generally process them?

The production and processing in weld neck flange are as follows:

1. Annealing temperature reaches the specified temperature.
The treatment of welding neck flanges generally adopts solution heat treatment, which is commonly called "annealing". The temperature range is from 1040 to 1120℃ (as per Japanese standard).

2. Check water vapor in the casting furnace of welding neck flanges. On the one hand, check whether the furnace body material is dry, and the furnace body material must be dried for the first time; second, whether there are too many water stains on the flange pipe fittings that enter the furnace.

3. Make sure a good sealing property of furnace body. The bright annealing furnace of welding neck flanges should be closed and isolated from the outside air; When hydrogen is used as protective gas, only one vent is open.

4. Check the protective gas pressure. To prevent slight leakage of weld neck flanges, the protective gas in the furnace should maintain a certain positive pressure. If the protective gas is hydrogen, it is generally required to be above 20kBar.

5. Check the annealing atmosphere. Welding neck flange generally uses pure hydrogen as an annealing atmosphere, and the purity of the atmosphere is better than 99.99%. If the other part of the atmosphere is an inert gas, the purity can be lower, but it must not contain too much oxygen and water vapor.
